About Me

Hi, I’m Mya. I’m a Pilates instructor with a background in rehabilitation-focused movement and a genuine love for helping people feel strong, capable, and at ease in their bodies.

Why I Love Pilates

I started Pilates at 13 after fracturing my lower back, with Pilates forming a core part of my rehabilitation. Through that process, I regained confidence in my body, experienced significant pain reduction, and discovered how powerful informed movement can be in improving daily life.

That experience inspired me to become a Pilates teacher and to study physiotherapy at university, after seeing first-hand how knowledgeable, thoughtful guidance can make a real difference to the quality of people’s lives. Teaching Pilates allows me to share that sense of empowerment with others, no matter their starting point.

My Approach to Teaching

Encouraging Environment

I create a supportive, positive space where clients feel comfortable exploring movement at their own pace and building confidence in their bodies.

Adaptable and Inclusive

Exercises are thoughtfully adapted to suit all abilities, ages, and needs, ensuring everyone can move safely and effectively.

Imagery-Led Movement

I use clear imagery and cues to make movements intuitive, engaging, and easier to connect with on both a physical and mental level.
